Hiding Out in Our New Homes!

5-18-11

Hi!  This is Crabby the Crayfish again.  The class just got me these new homes, and they are kinda like half of a cup.  I feel really safe in my new home...all snuggled up.  Tuesday they put a red dot on my friend and not anything on me.  Plus I kinda wonder what those red dots are on my friend's back.  Well, bye, see you next time!

Yahoo! I finally got a new hideout.  It is dark and fun. I love it.  Kids are still writing observations about me, but I don't care because I have a new home. Kids are finally calming down on getting us.  They still fight over being the Getter though.  My friends are being picked up and fed, just like me. They marked us so they will know who is who.  So many kids are messing around with us, but we still have care.  The kids are being nice to us because they aren't picking us up that much, and they are petting us nicely. My friend Crabby was doing the H today.  The H is is when we stick our pincers up.  He was defending himself.  Well, that's it for today!  Bye!

Love,

I'm feeling very sick.  I'm hungry.  I will only move my antennae, and my claw and my leg.  I am very sad that I wasn't able to move into a new house.  All of my friends took over their homes, and I just live in a small little place between the Triangle House and the Circle House.  There aren't many pebbles there either.  My pincer is red and it hurts because it is swollen.  My tail has been tucked in for days.  I used to be one of the strongest and fastest crayfish of all. No look at me!  I am about to die. :(

Barely Hang In There,
CrabbyII the Crayfish (JAM)

*** The above entry was written as they watched their crayfish cling onto life.  I asked them to think about what he was feeling.  :) JAM did a great job of conveying the moment!
